Version 2026-10-20
These terms apply to each plan you order in Town Planner Pro that is drawn on Ordnance Survey® mapping. They are a licence from Town Planner Pro Ltd (company number 17225647, The Oakley, Kidderminster Road, Droitwich, WR9 9AY) to you, and sit alongside our Terms of Use. You accept them when you order a plan, and they apply to that plan. In these terms "we" means Town Planner Pro Ltd and "you" means the licensee named on the order.
"Print" means the PDF plan we supply to you that contains OS MasterMap® Topography Layer data from Ordnance Survey®. "Permitted Copies" means the number of paper copies stated on the Print. If no number is stated, it is one (1). "End User" means an individual who is your employee or contractor.
2.1 We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and store the Print for the purpose of printing it, up to the Permitted Copies. You may make the Print available to your End Users for that purpose only. You are responsible for the acts and omissions of your End Users as if they were your own.
2.2 Your permitted use includes submitting the Print, on your own behalf or for your client, to a planning authority or other public body as part of an application, appeal or consultation. How that body then holds, copies or publishes it is a matter for that body.
2.3 Except as clause 2.2 allows, you may not sub-license, sell or otherwise provide the Print to anyone else.
Each paper copy made within the Permitted Copies is licensed to you non-exclusively and in perpetuity, for commercial or non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, extract or re-use any Ordnance Survey® data shown on it, except as permitted by Chapter III of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
Town Planner Pro is offered to professionals and businesses. If you are nevertheless acting as a consumer, clauses 2 and 3 apply only for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not make more paper copies than the Permitted Copies. If you need more, order a further print in Town Planner Pro (clause 13) or obtain an appropriate licence before you make them.
You must not, and must not allow anyone else to:
Town Planner Pro will not pass a Print to its own AI features, and leaves one out if you add it to a site's documents.
You may add your own lines, shapes, symbols or text to the Print or its printed copies, including the red and blue lines drawn in Town Planner Pro. Anything you add that copies, represents or is used to infer the position of an Ordnance Survey® feature may only be used as part of that Print, and not on its own.
All intellectual property rights in the Ordnance Survey® data belong to Ordnance Survey Limited. The Print carries the acknowledgement "© Crown copyright and database rights [year] OS AC0000873338". Apart from the licence in these terms, you get no rights in the data, and you may not use any Ordnance Survey® trade marks.
The Print shows Ordnance Survey® data as supplied to us at the date it was produced. We do not verify or change that data. The Print is not a survey, and it is your responsibility to make sure it is suitable for your purpose, including that the red line is drawn correctly. Ordnance Survey has no liability to you in respect of the data or these terms. Our liability is limited as set out in our Terms of Use.
Your licence to the electronic Print ends automatically if you breach these terms, or if our licence from Ordnance Survey to supply it ends. Within 30 days you must then delete every electronic copy and confirm this in writing if we ask. Paper copies you made lawfully within the Permitted Copies, and copies already submitted under clause 2.2, are not affected.
You will indemnify us against all losses, costs and liabilities arising from any breach of these terms by you or your End Users.
Ordnance Survey Limited may enforce these terms directly against you under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. Apart from Ordnance Survey, no one else has any right to enforce them. You will keep records of your use of the Print and, on reasonable notice, allow us, our licensor Centremaps Limited and Ordnance Survey to check that you have complied with these terms.
The price, including the Ordnance Survey® royalty, is shown before you order, and VAT is added. It is charged to the card on your account, or on Stripe's payment page, and a VAT invoice is sent to you. The plan is supplied when payment is received and the order is recorded with our licensor; if the order cannot be recorded, your payment is refunded in full.
The Print covers the sheet you ordered: its scale, page and extent. For 90 days after ordering you may print that sheet again in Town Planner Pro, for example after adjusting the red line, up to 20 prints in all. Each further print is recorded with our licensor as a further copy and carries its own Permitted Copies. A different extent, scale or page is a new plan.
Once a Print has been supplied it is not refundable, unless it is faulty. If something is wrong with a plan, email hello@townplannerpro.co.uk.
Ordnance Survey requires a record of everyone licensed to receive its data. We keep the licensee name, address and telephone number you give with each order, with the order reference, for six years, and may disclose them to Centremaps Limited and Ordnance Survey for royalty reporting and audit. The order reference sent to them for royalty reporting carries no personal details. See our Privacy Notice.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
